Dr. Steiner & all Presidents of WICO with love in abundance.
God gives us the ability to face each new day with courage, wisdom, understanding and a huge smile from knowing that, whatever sorrow or pain we face, he is abiding in our hearts not some of the time but all of the time. Most of all, God, gave us friends to teach us about love and to guide us through this world making us all available to help each other, so that we can move ourselves  forward towards a greater understanding of humanity and most importantly to help us achieve and maintain a greater sharing of love for one and other. I see love as in a switch which turns on a light that radiates peace globally. I pray that world peace will be restored through our divine interventions in the way that we can demonstrate Peace, love  and harmony within WICO'S army of unified workers. I think that we need to feel more  to understand other's pain and love more to be loved back. It is very important to have high values of honesty and fairness when interacting with other so that we can establish a strong ethical basis for an honest way of life. We need to give more and take less to realise the importance of poverty and deprivation that is all around us. When we can look at the world more and realise that we could all be in oneness just by having a little more insight into each other's needs that is when we know we are making a true difference. Finally I feel that we need to create a world where we can all peacefully live the life that we are choosing however, to do all of this, we just need to have faith.
Fantastic Adventure In Trusting Him
May God be always at your side because greater is he that is in you, then he, who is of this world.
Amen
 Shalom to you and yours

Declaration for WICO Denmark:

WICO -"Women's International Coalition " - for Culture of Peace, Non-Violence and Empowered Women",  is a Non-Profit organization (NGO)
The organization was founded in Jerusalem, Israel by Dr. Dalia Steiner, "Ambassador for Peace", and in Oklahoma city, Oklahoma USA by Rev. Marilyn Kotulek - "International White Eagle Ministries Inc". (In 2003)
The organization was founded due to similar fates of the two cities and their civilians who witnessed terror attacks and suffered damage to property, death and loss of loved ones.
On October 2001, following the events of 9/11, declared the United Nations that the first decade of the 21st century will be dedicated for the advancement of Peace and non-violence culture.  Eight Nobel
Prize laureates headed by the Dali Lama, Rev. Desmond Tutu and Jody Williams – signed a joint declaration calling upon the governments and people of the world to take real steps towards developing this ideal and bringing forth its realization.
In their joint declaration the writers emphasized the leader's inability to prevent the creation of conflict centres' and their choice of violent means for conflict resolution. This path has brought on
destruction and increased the feelings of anxiety and insecurity to the point of losing hope in many throughout the world.  The events of 9/11, has emphasized the need for a change and to present solidarity with the victims of those acts of hostility and terror, to educate and teach the values and principles of peace and non violence beginning in schools and through to the universities".
On 2003 WICO- Adopted the Declaration of the United Nation above, and one of the main goals of the organization is to build international "The national Peace Center, and The high Institute for Culture of Peace and Non Violence Studies as an answer to the International terror attacks which hit the two cities, Oklahoma City in 1995, and in Jerusalem, who witnessed lives were taken of our beloved ones and caused substantial damage to properties which are well known.
The first Centre shall be build as a model in Oklahoma City and will be duplicated to other cities and continents. (Madrid, Mombasa, London, Buenos Aires and others).
The WICO based organization will work in conjunction with governments and organization throughout the world to realize the vision of Peace and the Education for Non-Violence, as well as constructing a building that would serve as the first centre for world peace in Oklahoma City, OK. USA.

When people join in something that beautiful, the love that comes from gathering filled with love will shine for a long time. It was for a very important cause for Africa. When we join together I such important cause and do it our heart filled with love, miracles can happen.

The power of prayer is the constant renewal of perspective. Prayer opens our eyes. It extends our horizons. It sheds light into the darkness of our fears and our sorrows, our hopes and joys, our shame and our pride. It gives us new ways of seeing life and relationships, of understanding work and the cost of growing.

The power of prayer is real and palpable. This unique prayer had a very important message and people who joined together with us all, felt something inside them. They felt that could make a difference in this world. Not everything has to cost anything.

A prayer filled with a heartfelt energy and a wish for helping others has a strong influence on our world. All over the world people gather in prayers for a cause and they too find that miracles happen because of the heartfelt prayer. The energy shifted around a sick person and that person got well again.

People were grateful to be able to participate from their own homes sitting down and still believe that they could make a difference by joining us. They believe in the power of the prayer.

Just while writing this article I got tears in my eyes. That prayer touched many souls around the world. They felt hope and love and gratitude. They got their eyes opened and saw what was really going on in Africa.
We need to pray more often when causes like this appears. But all in all they were very happy to be able to participate with love from their own homes.

Thank you all very much for given you time and love for this event.

Heidi Elisabeth Hansen- WICO'S President- Denmark
From the 27th of September 2008:

The importance of Peace in the world!

"Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures." John F. Kennedy

Today I will write to you about what is important to do in our society, on the international level and personal level. I have been inspired by several articles I have red in newspapers or have heard about on television etc.

There are a number of things that world societies can do the create Peace in the world. Here is some examples:

We have to bring cultures in conflict into dialogue on ways to find peace. Imperialism, in all its forms, belongs in the dustbin of history. What we don’t know anything about we can’t change, but when we first get the knowledge what we can do, we are able to give to the world, what the world needs. Knowledge can lead you to actions and understanding what it is all about. We have to:

Educate all citizens by focusing on Peace in article, in schools, in talks, meetings etc.

Research the nature/nurture of the condition and move toward fixing it or restrain such individuals from harming others in humanitarian ways.

Children must be taught the values of citizenship and active participation in helping in society whenever and wherever help is needed.

Prevent nuclear holocaust: Update and implement Plan for controlling nuclear activities in the world. This one requires all nations to be united on this issue with a foolproof governance system.

Remove important causes of terror: Eliminate humiliation from within and among cultures. Ethnic integration in all levels and aspects of society would be a start.

Increase ability to integrate all societies: Update, internationalize and expand the Peace knowledge.

To bring reforms such as these into effect will require movements as well as statesmanship on the part of governors. Peace and harmony simply must transcend violence as a common goal. International controls with teeth seem vital to control the nuclear genie.

More:

Reduce ethnic conflict; Remove conditions that tend to radicalize individuals.

Teach young people about how the authoritarian personality arises and how to mute its expression while directing it along useful lines.

Implement ethnic integration in all aspects of society.

Maintain Effective Separation of Church and State: The option is poor governance and endless conflict over whose god is God.

Maintain Strong Economy: The alternative is to continue enriching the already-rich while spending money borrowed from other nations and ultimately fail at what we are best at--economic growth for individual well-being.

Educate Our Children - Socialize the future generations by paying close attention to Peace and non-violence during the pre-teen years; teach team-work and dialogue. Encourage individuality and creativity; Emphasize and encourage moral behavior in all walks of life from pre-school to the grave as a society.

Know and understand ourselves - Prepare ourselves for bigger and better things.

Although there are many unknowns in the roads ahead, there are a number of things we can do to explore with the same confidence and hopes that guided many important people all over the world.

All questions, except for the metaphysical, can be answered one way or another by the scientific method. To be sure, that is not as simple as it sounds, especially when people are involved. Every scientific breakthrough took time to accomplish--they were difficult conceptually. There were many obstacles and false leads in the ways of the pioneers above, but they persevered. And so must we.

Please share with me your thoughts and feelings towards this article.

How to start a good integration in society – A smile!

A social network where we live

For me the contact to other people that were not Danish started with a smile in the bus one day. I am certain that a mix of cultures is the way for the future and that a close social environment is of very high importance.

Denmark has become cultural speaking a manifold society and that has given many new challenges and possibilities for all of us. It is not news for anyone that the numbers of ethnic minorities is growing every year. It is therefore not without importance that the country’s minorities must be integrated. The minorities come from various countries from all over the world.

For me Denmark is like all other countries and it represents a manifold society with different political, cultural and religious opinions and beliefs. If we as a society must cope with such many inspirational opinions and challenges we need to have a fundamental basic containing democracy, wealth, freedom, equanimity, acceptance towards each other no matter age, or if you are a man or a woman, colour of your skin or beliefs. Respect for each other is very important in the Danish society.

You need to give to society what you can through work, taxes, education, and care and be able to provide for you and your family.

In my daily life there are very good possibilities to meet across cultures in society. You can get close to each other where you live by a cultural meeting in the evening. That evening can contain music from various cultures, food etc.

Connection towards environments of minorities - We can as citizens in the society do our part to help with the task to help the integration in a good way. In the near surroundings where you live you can make contact to several people from different cultures. For me this connection to the environment of minorities started with a smile in the bus one day.

I have always been good at what I do in school and maybe I could use that to help others as well. I know that many people coming from other cultures and countries have difficulties with understanding of the language we speak. And I must say that the Danish language is very difficult to learn and to speak. So maybe I could help the children in school to become better to express themselves in Danish by helping them with their homework. And how o do that? How could I get in contact with the people I want to give a helping hand? Well, I thought to myself. A smile is a break though in all the world. If you smile to the world the world smiles right back at you. So why not try it out.

I did it one day in the bus and suddenly after a while, we started to talk to each other. I met several wonderful people in that way. I started to smile at the women and though them I got to know their wonderful children. It was a very learning experience. I got many friends through this kind of work and we spent a lot of time together talking in Danish, so that they would be able to talk as good as they could in that language. They told me, that they did not learn it well enough in the schools where they must learn the Danish language. They wanted to talk to the Danish people. They learn a lot more in that way they told me. And that is what I did. On the other hand I too leaned so many exciting things.

I helped them with many different things. Contact to the local communities, how to deal with problems and who to talk to if they needed help in solving physiological problems; if one member of the family died who to talk to etc. I also pointed out that I could not solve all their problems, but I could find out who could.

One family I helped though very difficult times when their father died. I went with them to the hospital and talked with the doctors who have to operate on the father who at the time was very ill. The father did not survive. It was a balance in how to deal with their beliefs and my own way of seeing things. We talked a lot after his death and they got through it with peace in their heart. I also went to the funeral and in that way showed them that they were near to my heart. And everyone I have met is close to my heart. They were such great people.

I meet the people without any judgmental attitude. I learned from their culture as well as they learned from mine. It was a genuine experience for all of us. I got a fantastic view into other cultures. We have to work as a good example. We have to give and show a good morality in behavior and ethic moral to gain their acceptance and respect.

I am 100 % sure that the mix of cultures in society is what its needed if we have to have a joined path in the future and give the children ways of developments and teach them to show respect for the elderly, for each other no matter your name is Ali or Peter.

A culture is values, traditions and opinions and is given us a place to belong to. We need to give space to different cultures and lean to accept other people’s different opinions than our own.

We need to work together to establish a good fundamental basic in the society we live in. So take a minute of your time to think what you can do to help people who are coming from another country and try to live here in a total different culture than they have been use to.

A smile can do the trick to establish a good contact. A smile is coming from the heart.

Please share with me your thoughts and feelings on this matter.

September 20
Adults can help children understand the importance of treating all people with dignity and not judging groups of people for the actions of a few. Most importantly, adults must model tolerance and compassion in their words and behaviour.

They should encourage children to explore their feelings about prejudice and hate. Doing so is not only critical to preventing further harm, but the process presents a potentially powerful opportunity for our young people to learn and incorporate into their values the true strength of our countries – our commitment to individual freedom and upholding the respect and dignity of all people.

Children, in particular, may have difficulties channelling their feelings appropriately and can easily pick up negative or demeaning cues given by adult. That is why we have to become a good example for them to look up to.

In schools they might be victims of bullying and harassment and that must never be acceptable and that is why we have to help them in any way we can. It is so important to listen to what they say when returning home from school. If we don’t do anything, then we can experience in the worst scenario ever, see and hear that young people are shooting each other in schools or in the street because they want revenge for something that has happened in school or else where.

We have to teach our children:

Groups of people should not be judged by the actions of a few and that our country is strong because of our diversity
That all people deserve to be treated with fairness, respect and dignity
That we listening to them
That we need to work for pace in our communities and around the world
That tolerance is a lifelong endeavour
That there is only one language – the language of the heart
That there is only one race – the human race
Violence is not the solutions the problems
Teach what non-violence is all about

A wonderful inspiration I’ve got from India was the following:

WATCH

W – Watch the words
A – Watch the actions
T – Watch the thoughts
C – Watch the character
H – Watch the heart

We can all benefit from this simple memorandum.

But first and foremost – we have to be the example of what we teach to our children. If we teach a child that they must not lie and you do it yourself and the child hears it …. Do you think you will have an impact on your child? Do you think the child will listen to you? No never. So the parents have to be a good example for the children.

If a teacher teaches something he is not familiar with – the students will know and will have no respect for the teacher. The teacher is like the water coming out of the tap – if it is polluted, the students will become polluted. Well, it is just a way to explain what I mean about being a good example for our children. You may agree or not…..

What do you think we can do for our children of tomorrow’s world? Is the education good enough? If not, what has to change? Are you the change?

September 19 , 2008
Just a small effort can change the world.

We has to realise that what is going on in the world today with the wars and the poverty, we have to make the change and to teach our children to walk the path of peace instead of the path of war to solve problems in the world. We need to give them hope for the future and to show to them that we are able to give a helping hand whenever and wherever it is needed.

As an adult we have some limitations, because of our childhood and what we have learnt from our parents about what is wrong and what is right. We can change ourselves and most important we can make a better future for our children.

A small child has no limitations at all. Everything is open, but as soon as the child grows up and gets older it acquires various limitations: how it must act; what it can and can not do; what it must believe and not believe in, etc. This influence comes from our parents, and we too pass on limitations to our own children. Of course, children must have limits, but the question is where to set the boundary between what the children should learn and should not learn. We are teaching many children songs. Most of them are about things from our daily lives. In that way children become able to recognize objects in life. This is not without importance. Can we do that with peace and non-violence? Yes I do think so,
In this way they will as children receive inputs, which they will begin asking questions about later in life. A song is just one of the things through which children can learn. The good example of the parents, adults and others in their surroundings is also of considerable importance. The proper education starts at home!

Ways to Practice Nonviolence – inspiring words:

To members of WICO Denmark

September 22.2008

Dear all

How can we get rid of the violence in our lives? Sometimes we have to take small steps to reach our goals. We have to start with ourselves to establish peace in the world and within ourselves. We can look at all the problems in the world and point a finger, but when we point our finger towards someone or something, we have 3 fingers pointing towards ourselves. We have to remove the bad things in our own lives first – or said in another way: put one's own house in order and then we are able to make a difference in the world.

Well, we can do both on the same time. When we work with ourselves, we gain experience in solving the problems in our lives and that experience can be used to help others in the same situations.

Sometimes it is difficult just to get started in ways to practice non-violence and therefore I have pasted some inspirational words from
http://www.nonviolenceworks.com/snv/inspire.htm

Inspiration
Today I take time to think of two people who exemplify for me the practice of nonviolence. I think of what it is I admire about them, their actions, their
behaviours, their attitudes. Today I practice these attitudes and behaviours
so that other people may be inspired by my practice of nonviolence. I carry
with me the phrase "Each one, teach one." Today I am inspired.

SIMPLICITY
To simplify is to invite peacefulness. Think of three ways you can simplify
your life and put at least one of them into practice today.

Mission
"My life is my message," says Gandhi. Today I take the time to contemplate
what my message is, what my life stands for. When others see me, I want them to see what I'm committed to. Knowing my purpose and inspired by Gandhi, I look for new ways that I can show my message through my actions. From today, my life is my message.

Harmony
Today I want to be that which I seek. I want to create harmony wherever I
am. Choosing not to engage in any form of gossip contributes to harmony.
Today I choose to see the good in others rather than find fault.

Praising
Appreciation helps people to grow, and yet how often do we withhold our
praise from ourselves and others. Today I offer heart felt praise to at
least three people as well as myself. I praise our personal qualities, our
achievements and our helpful service. Today I help people grow by nourishing them with love.

Unity
Differences give variety to life and are often only on the surface anyway.
Today I look for three ways to see beyond outer differences in opinions,
appearances, or goals. I commit myself to looking for the meeting point of underlying unity that exists in diversity.

There is only one language – the language of the heart
There is only one race – the human race

Compassion
Mother Teresa implored us to "find someone who thinks he is alone and let him know that he is not." We all know someone in our lives, in our office or in our neighbourhood who looks as though they think they are alone. Today I make a demonstration of my compassion. Today I go out of my way to let someone who thinks they are alone know that they absolutely are not. Today I make room in my heart for one more person.

INITIATIVE
How many times in our lives, in each and every day, is the opportunity to
make a better way present and available to us, requiring only our initiative? In 1957 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "We have before us the glorious opportunity to inject a new dimension of love into the veins of our civilization." Knowing that same glorious opportunity is always available to me, today I find an opportunity to be more loving and I take the initiative to act on it.

WORTHINESS
Is there any part of you that doesn't feel worthy? A place that feels
unworthy of love, of peace, of prosperity? If so, then there is a place where you are telling yourself a lie. Any lie contains violence and violence begets more violence. The truth is that we are born worthy. Does a child have to do anything to be worthy of love, peace or prosperity?
Joel Goldsmith writes "If some night we could sit at a window all night long until the morning light breaks, and then with the coming of full daylight when the moon and the stars are no more but in their place is the sun, we might ask ourselves what part we have played in all this. What did we have to do with it? If we could watch trees or flowers blooming and when they are in full bloom, again ask ourselves what part we have played in this, whether we have earned it or deserved it or been worthy of it, we should soon find that God brought all of these glories to us without any question as to our worthiness or unworthiness." Today look at an area of your life where it appears you may feel unworthy and ask what the truth is. Write an affirmation that states the truth and speak it ten times today. "I am worthy of love."

Please share with me your thoughts and feeling towards non-violence….. Non-violence for me is also how you speak; how you think of your self and others… etc.

Practising non-voilence leads to Peace.
